Post CT Campaign Event
Big news for the CT event:
Image

Dates: 28 & 29 APR 12
Cost: $25 Local and $ 20 out of state/play group
Event: 4E
Image

Prizes: We will be updating this as we get them in but right now we're going to spoil this:Image

Day 2: 29 Apr 12
Event Booster Draft
Cost: $7 (free for top 3 from 4E day 1)
What you get: A card box with the TBS logo, 1 Light and Shadows fat pack, 1 Plane of Secrets fat pack, 1 Light and Shadows booster, 3 Saga of the Storm boosters, 3 Assassins' Strike boosters (Boosters will be drafted)
Image

After Orvacs' defeat I didn't think we would have an ML at our event. I'm proud to tell you all that's not the case. We will have a chance to take on, all the way from across the pond Atu the Fallen

That's right Atu the Fallenwill be taking challenges at the CT event!

I cannot thank Aren enough for sending this over. This is a big deal and we may not have another shot at this ML in the states.

You can also thank NiravanaTool ( Chris Vacaro) for this though he didn't want to have his name mentioned.

He will only take challenges if you get at least 30 players for the day 1 4E event. It's up to Chris how many challenges he takes.

There will also be 2 side games of Munchkin where players can buy in for $2 and the winner keeps the game. This is there for all you bad players that drop, or the friends you bring who don't want to play but need something to do.

More to come as the prizes roll in, but mostly get ready for a record setting event in the NORTH!

I'll take as many challenges as I can - I need to take out Orvac's death on you people with Atu

But again, I'm more concerned with packing as many players into TBS as humanly possible! I'll be doing my part with 3 confirmed player in my car (with myself making 4).

You want your shot at Atu? Not sure if that's fair considering you're helping me with the deck

After Chris converted Orvac to Highlander he is in my camp of the faithful when it comes to running the ML's that way.

I ran Majeral in the stock configuration for one event, and it was a bloody yawn fest. Magic Missile thank you for playing.
Now, that being said I also understand why some people don't like playing against my highlander Dragonlords and ML's - with a deck running 2x and 3x of certain cards, you, as the challenger, can more reliably develop counterstrategies.
For example, back in the day, when Dave Williams was running master K'hallaek (sp), we could count on magic missiles, that is why a LOT of challenges came out of Mercs with a three shield wall start. shift that deck to highlander and you also have to worry about shoring up skill, because roughly 50% of his offense should now be DC based.

and really, how many double Emboldened Babbling Mouthers do you want to face?

Still don't think I am ponying up the money for the trip - unless Lotto this Friday goes REALLY well.
