But you do.

I don't know how "common" this is, but Leslie and I put together a Dhamir who acts like Kaiten: big bruisers, lots of steeds/movement/gear, and the WL only tackling the opposing line as needed. It's fun to play, but requires a little tricksyness. (Dark Horse up, attack, Xaros back kind of tricksyness.)

Some cards for a Cav build:

Phantom Steed
Ring of Vorn
Xaros the Mist
The Dark Horse
Mariah Blackthorne
Okull the Defiant

My friend Sporty runs him sort of like that. Beef to buy time while he ubers up, though he dispenses with the Wizard movement and sticks to mostly fighter stuff. This sort of describes every 'me' deck he builds, though.

Dhamir just seems to suffer from being in the line of fire, and falls hard if he gets blitzed. He doesn't have that bounce back power Zultan seems to have, but that's more due to their differing armies than anything else.

Interested to see how he runs with Onslaught and that new fire action.

I made him recently using proxies of the newer cards, and so far I've only lost once and that was out of maybe 15 games (against various warlords) and to a friends blitz style Galam-Reth deck. The new fire action is AMAZING out of him. Either use it along with Incinerate to perform more ranged strikes, when he attacks up front to do more melee strikes or a ranged attack, or use the spend order to help deal with those 2+ hp characters. Haven't tried Onslaught with him yet though.

Onslaughtis just brutal with him, Incinerate, Onslaught, Fire and Steel, ladies and gentlemen, I was the opposing player against that and I wasn't too happy about it either. :)

I will post up my second place deck from the medford Winter Campaign. Nothing rocket science, but certainly fun stuff.

Borrowed this idea and ran with it...but the 2nd rank is a dangerous place to be in the current environment, even for Devs. Viper Whip also triggers those effects thanks to his static text.

I was baffled Fish wasn't running Onslaught. Just the opportunity to get a Viper Whip or a Disintegrate to slow down these bloody Backbiter-fighters is huge.

I know it's better out of Brymin, but I feel Dhamir is the more solid Warlord overall. [Censor: poo], she can run the best range strike meta card in the environment.

Ironcloth Bracers + Red Steel Gauntlets = WINNING, Duh!

Here's my current workup:

Genecourt Initiate x3
Caleb the Shifter, Alexa Genecourt
Dhamir il Maliq

Ghed Headrix x3
Ancestral Wraiths x2
Mistress Edrea x3 (need to change her up, forgot she says "non-fighter")
Alexa Genecourt x2 (Defend is win.)
Okull the Defiant x3
Xaros x3
Sable Knight
Evon Myredeth
Numan il Maliq

Viper Whip x3
Incinerate x3
Onslaught x3
Fire and Steel x3

Ironcloth Bracers x2
Red Steel Gauntlets x2
Griffon of Misear x3
The Dark Horse x2
Ring of Vorn x2
Engraved Plate x2

I could really drop some items (Steeds mostly) and throw in some more Order spells like Icy Surge or Disintegrate.

Kerebrus, where's your 2nd place deck. Let's see it! Did you play all your favorite +2/12AC level 1 Devs?

Edit:
LOL Oremm, that strikes me as a very rough draft. :P

You could at least take out onslaught since there is only one action to fetch. If you're so fond of RSGaunts and Ironcloth, why don't you run Camel also? It makes sense to shoot for AC bonuses from items when he gets so much ATK from spells anyway. I'd go with just 3 Camels. I'd also go with a little strike generation and run x2 Leveled! If you don't kill their level 4's, just kill your own.
