Post Stopping by to say hi
Hey, everyone. I am so happy to see that this place is still functional. I just found my entire collection and have been putting decks together. First off, how is everyone? Have new life events changed for you that has brought you joy?

There is a group that I play DnD with and I am thinking if I brought a couple of decks that were balanced with one another. I could pique their interest in playing. So, this is the challenge. Can we make 6 decks, the represent all factions and all classes that are roughly balanced with one another? I am looking for fun factor.

What do you think?

Hi! I'm alright. How are you? I've got three kids now, which is a big change since the game stopped being printed. I'm also running the Warlord event at Gencon this year.

Yes, I think you can build a set of six balanced decks.

Dwarf - Fighter or Cleric
Elf - Wizard or Rogue
FreeK - Rogue or Fighter
Dev - Cleric or Fighter, maybe Wizard.
Nothrog - Fighter or Rogue, maybe Wizard
Merc - Mak and Makob

That is awesome to hear. I am married and have a child now, so yeah me too! If only Gencon was in the budget!!!

I was thinking the same, I also wanted to do an Uber and a Rancher deck, a power blitz deck, a 6 man deck and combo deck.

For Rancher, I did Sorscha and her monsters.
For Power blitz, I am running Dukat, Glenn the blaze nonsense.
For 6 man, there is only Krun.
For combo deck, I need help.... I was thinking Dev. But, it can't be OPed.
For Uber I was going to Kaimi Faitseeker.
So, that leaves me with Elves.... (I never really played them, Not sure how to build them, I needs help!)

Behlial, Etra Bloodvine, Serolia Calix are powerful Elf clerics. Cathel Rowan is good for going pew-pew. Cairbre Netheryn stealth can be fun.

Combo: any level 5 Dev wizard, Ring of Blasting, Medusan Lords' Gambit. If you play with the Ancients ruleset, Ring of Blasting does not start in play.

I am finding that I can't search. I keep getting an error message, "SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]" I am thinking somewhere in the code something is effed.

I am trying to remember the rules for equipping items in an opposing rank. I think it is as if they are in rank 1, but I don't remember and I want to be sure.

Hey there. I have an Ancients deck for each faction and Class. They are balanced against each other but they are all ridiculously powerful because the format itself is so powerful.

I've got two kids at the moment, talking about adopting sometime in the next two years. I moved to Ohio from Kentucky, major downgrade. But we love our job so it evens out.

I now have a deck for each class faction and a couple more freeks as well. I don't know about powerful, I have to tinker with them, some of the hands seem to be clunky and I am drawing cards that aren't working.

Congrats on the kids and the move, even if it is a downgrade. I am currently looking for a job, and I am starting to get frustrated with it.

Good news: I brought my decks to DnD night. I started with the Krun vs Logan decks that came with the Battlebox and demoed the game. People really seemed to be interested in it. The liked the rank and file, the d20, and the way the cards were working with each other. I feel like a couple weeks of demoing and letting people look at the decks I created will give them a chance to enjoy it. Even if this is a dead game. :(

I've put 10 together and play every week against a friend of mine that used to play. Getting a decent amount of interest in the Gaming store while our kids play Pokemon !

Keep it up and I'm sure the DnD guys will be interested. They DnD so they love the D20 which is one of the best parts of Warlod, apart from Astal/Etheral......

I build decks all the time. In fact that's basically all I do :/ I did have a 7 person draft at my house recently, so that was cool.
