Post Punch Out for Wii
So, has anyone else tried this yet? I love the game. The brought back all the characters and the even have a lot of the same tells. There are also challenges to try once you beat a character. I have only gotten to Super Macho Man so far but I haven't tried fighting him yet. I just defeated Bald Bull.

I'd love to try it, but am dubious. After seeing how utterly awful the controls and reactionaries are for Wii Sports boxing I'm too afraid of experiencing the same thing with this.

However, I love the concept, here. This was a classic game, and deserves to be remembered. It's cool how the new generations of gamers will be able to experience something similar to what we all grew up on and know and love.

Seriously awesome.

:)

I find the control much better then the Wii Sports boxing. There are three ways to play. Using the controller as a standard controller, using the controller and nunchuck to actually box, and then you can also activate the Wii Balance Board to use as a platform to play on for dodging. I just use the controller and nunchuck and I haven't had any issues.

This game is a lot of fun. Doc Louis is epic in this game.

And the Controls are much better than Wii boxing, but if that isn't your style the game uses the standard controller as well. (which you only need the Wii remote for)

That's definitely good to know, then.

On the other hand, I could just go play the original. :-P

I haven't played nunchuck style yet, and I've only made it to Soda Popinski so far. After I beat it "classic style" I'll come back to lay waste to the WVBA nunchuck style.

Once you beat it once, you can go back through all the circuits and everyone is much harder. If you go through it a couple times it gets to the point where one punch can take you down.

The other cool thing is that once you beat a guy, you can fight him in exhibition mode and there are challenges such as winning a fight without dodging or winning a fighting without missing a single punch. The challenges are different for each opponent.

Yeah, Title Defense was a great idea. It basically turned 14 fighters into 28.

I'm going against Mr. Sandman right now. Even in Practice mode he is tough. Most of his "tells" give you very little react time and then his punches hurt like hell. :)

I have a whole library of games I bought and haven't even played yet...

That said, my will to resist purchasing this game is eroding on a daily basis.

This game is fantastic.

I'm utter garbage at it, but it's fantastic. I beat Bear Hugger tonight and I was so effing happy it was unreal.

I never beat Mr. Sandman or whatever the final guys name is because I had to return the game to the guy I borrowed it from.

I decided to take a break after I beat Aran Ryan. He's quite obnoxious the second time around, since he has a glove on a rope with horse shoes in it.
