Anyone feel like trading? I've got some leftover warlord stuff, a few promos and OL/DLs, as well as MTG cards.

Anybody else play the super expensive MTGO holiday cube with the Power 9 in it? I am 1-2 so far. I have never used MTGO before, so I lose a few games completely to mistakes. Like tapping 7 lands but casting Earthquake for 0.

Anyway, it's fun to be sure, but $8 is steep.

Anyone going to the prerelease? I'm not going until Sunday. People who go tonight or on Saturday, can you post which guilds seem to be doing the best? I can't make up my mind which to go for: BW, RW, or RG seem like the best for a precon environment...

I'm going tomorrow. From what I've read and seen, Orzhov (BW) seems to be a solid choice with a splash of either red or blue. It has the most consitent cards, requires only a few commons or some rares to have a strategy, and comes with recursion in the guild box.

I expect RW to be pretty strong too.

I know those both look good... That's why I want to hear about actual results. :)

I was wrong. Boros and Gruul were dominant the entire event. Though, this wasn't a traditional draft since the guild boxes provided a good chunk of what we needed to play. Orzhov is what I ran and it couldn't keep up with those other two guilds. In regular draft, no idea how it would work.

Post Re: Magic the Gathering
I went Boros and won the tournie with 18 people there. I didn't really get good rares for my deck. I had the 1/1 Goblin with haste who has Battalion that gives everyone First Strike and Trample. I did splash green for the other good rare I got... Guild Defiance was getting three targets almost everytime I used it. The first time I read it I didn't even realize that it could chose any OR all of the options. I beat a couple other Boros decks and Orzhov decks. In the last round I went against a Simic. I was the only undefeated player in round 5. He was 3-1. Game one I got stalled at 3 mana and didn't draw my cheap creatures. I held him off for a little while but then he eventually got over everything. Game two I had to double mulligan and then stalled at 2 mana. I was running 17 mana in a 40 card deck and never had a mana issue all day. He was sure I was going to beat him because he had seen how fast my deck was all day. I still ended up in first because he was my only loss and everyone else that was 4-1 had me as their 1 loss so my strength of schedule was the highest to beat the tie. Didn't get anything great in my prize packs. One foil Stomping Grounds was about the highest value card.

I say good luck with that one. I can only imagine the paypal and ebay fees if he DOES manage to sell it. But I can't imagine it being worth that much even with all those Black Lotuses. The smart thing to do would be to sell it off in sets so people don't have to sell their house for it.

You'd be surprised... Someone will try to buy it all and make a profit by turning around and selling it by pieces.

Anyone interested in buying unhinged lands? 4 dollars each, 15 for foils.
