Post Re: The Chosen of 4e: Sanga-Kish
common deck styles:
SpellBlitz

uncommon: I had him built him as a sniper at one point.

common starts: devoted for stability, winti and/or scramblers for second rank.

characters:
garowl* wound removal = very nice
duanna (personally i start, 12ac, keeps room in my deck, recur)
bar'rax (goes well with blitz, planar and 2hp?! so good...)
galgalax (again, a little bit of planar can go a long way in correct doses)
oloidynatos (more pew pew boom blitzing)

actions:
depends on build:
jacking DC of large spells,
Tsunami
Meteor swamr

blitzing
Heavens wrath
possibly beckon the sea
elementa bolt (omgwtfbbq sauce...)
incinerates (who wouldnt)
jumps (sometimes teleports if i wanna react with heaven's wrath)
icy surge (both the strike and DC get boosted)
disintegrate (not needed)
the way i run him: blood price (garowls are a MUST this way...)

items:
my blitz only uses 2 items to keep the speed up, but items:
ironcloth bracers (or bracers of deflection, age old argument, it's personal preference)
cloak of the leech (eh, i love it, but too slow for blitz)
heart of embers (who doesnt need multiwounding...)
necklace of spellstoring (never hurts)
dark heart of kylnion (scribe bonus for necklace check, also, sanga doesnt fear the wound)

(although meatloafman is a close second cause he plays dwarfs =P)

I want to see how much discussion we can generate before I start editing stuff in. My goal has always been to get a community consensus, not just one man's voice. So don't be worried if I leave this alone for a few days...I'm watching it.

if anyone ever wants to play sanga...
1) ALWAYS watch out and be wary for a possible kill shot
2) DON'T be overzelous wounding yourself, if you're playing a deck you know has range, sac thralls instead, let your opponent hit you, tehn shoot your spell and pull the wound off.
3) DON'T do this deck without wound removal, its a death wish.
and most importantly...
4)don't enjoy the use of your hands... between devoted, duanna, blood price, and sanga kish's order i shuffle my deck 5+ times per turn. i once made someone angry during tournament casue every time i shuffled i'd offer to let them cut =) (no, i wasnt stalling...)

I'm brewing/playtesting some Sanga tech. He doesn't get enough love, even among Chosen players. I'll post results.

Yeah, Sanga can be a mixed bag. I recall amazing everyone when I went 4-2 at gencon '09 - taking top Chosen over two Atiratus and making the cut.

But I think he Has been strengthened by some of the new spells (Heaven's Wrath in particular), though he has to watch for sniping rogues like Balam to just ruin his day.

General spell-blitz (Incinerate, Disintegrate, Ball Lightning, Icy Surge, Elemental Bolt) with very little else (Bracers, Shroud, Darkwood Staff).
Characters were defenders (Redu Bir for 3HP and Defend, Green Hag for react and stealth) or deck-enablers (The Seed, Redu Tam).

It was pretty straightforward and ran that way too.
I didn't run Blood Price, btw.

Not really. ;)
Darkspawn and Wailing Scrambler didn't exist at the time. So my start was Forest People / Devoted and Winti (maybe Winti / Plentiful).

My SO's were Elemental Bolt and Lightning Bolt (which Green Hag could also cast) plus the one Tsunami.

My characters were, as I kinda noted before, Redu Bir, Green Hag, plus the Seed and Redu Tam. and a handful others -not Daemons- that escape me. Maybe Master Naxagoras for another wizard, maybe Nemrah for guys like Stonefist.

Vic, wtf is Nemrah going to do against Stonefist? 8)
