Post Bloody Countess deck
The Bloody Countess
Split Tongue x2
Enhe x2
Mitrasz

Amends x3

Close Ranks x2
Goodwife's Parry x2
Bloodthirsty x3
Stubborn x2
On Silent Wings
Superior Armament x3
Bear's Soul x3
Heart of the Warrior
Obliterate x3
Flame Blade x3

Backbiter x2
Bruntor's Helm
Collar of Damnation
The Dark Horse
Engraved Plate x2
Griffon of Misear x2
Gris' Double Bit Axe
Havat-lahn Stance
Panthera
Thunderclap Bracers
Wyvern Gem
Camel x2
Limited Wish x2

Played this at the Chicago Campaign event in May. Went 2-2, but those losses didn't go easily.
Not sure I'd change much, except maybe dropping the wishes for a second Panthera and Havat-lahn.

Cheers.

Why Camel? I don't see anything that needs to be readied, and +1 AC isn't going to help too much. Maybe cut it for another Close Ranks and a War Horse, or 2x Thrust?

3x close ranks might be worth considering, just to help draw it turn 1. The others can be used for the bracers, or Thrust if you decide to run it.

For her, I can see how rushing high AC is viable. Camel seems fine.

Yeah, in playtest, that +1 AC proved fairly crucial. Especially when I dropped from three Enhe to two for minor rank stability.

Thrust is also tempting as a replacement for the Wishes. I used to have a couple in the deck, but they didn't seem to have as much impact as the other cards.

btw - I almost played a tweaked version that ran Fiendish Plate x2, Blood God's Basinet x2, Dragon Buckler x2 and A Single Motion x2 in place of the wishes, engraved plate, backbiters, bruntors, and heart.
It was fun, but not nearly as consistent. So I'm not sure how it would have fared in the matches where speed was crucial - but it probably would have been good against Kestrel (and that thrice-damned Phantom Steed), which was one of my losses.

Yeah, the Phantom Steed/Mud Slick question has deviled me as far as this deck goes. I was using Greaves and Griffon. But I see Camel only being a better play.

The deck list will be posted shortly but this is what ivr been doing keep in mind its based around drawing one or morw close ranks turn one

That being said

Start
Bloody mistress
winti winti
enhe enhe enhe

Upon opening die role if you are lucky enough to draw a close ranks or two then your golden..

You start buy killing your entire army.... the x3 enhe gives you instant plus 3atk and ac.
Then you fix ranks with
Spoiler:
winti
Mouse over the black section to reveal text
number one... react with close ranks

Wenti now dies and reacts to shoot.. niw if you draw a second close ranks then great if not no biggy you really only need one.

The second winti now dies.. shooting your ops second rank again... now if both hit the op warlord is spent rank two upon the start of first turn.. and tou in feont either ready or spent... only characters I play in the deck are

X3harem guard and x3amends

All else is strike gen.. its a verry solid deck more ofteb then not I draw at least one clise ranks turn one...

Also keep in mind this is all opon opening die role.. and after winning that role you can opt to ditch two cards and draw two more :)

Thoughts ??

Be prepared to lose a lot?

Seriously, being spent or stunned first turn with nothing but your 'best of seven' draw to get you through is going to be VERY hit-or-miss.
If you don't draw Close Ranks, you'll be tempted to not kill Winti. Which might work out if you ditch two cards and get a close ranks so that when your opponent gakks her, you don't fall stunned.

But more than likely, you're just going to sit in the second or third rank, equip a few items and let your opponent roll with whatever it is they want to do. At least if you're facing Bobby you don't have to sweat the decision about whether to kill the Clerimondes or not. ;)

----

I playtested something akin to this before settling on the version posted above. Between Biting West Wind, Wall, clerics, Caleb-Alexa, and a couple other things, it never proved itself worthwhile. Fun, maybe. Risky, very.

We've made a couple tweaks to the deck, but it's testing hot... real hot...

The Earth really breaks her!

Yeah winti was a fun thought at first but in an event setting not so much.. the earth is a lot better.

Balancing the movment and strike gen is solid. Sadly we cant fit in all the react speed cards we would like to add but never the less it is a powerful deck
