Kerebrus is right, this could be a really incredible deck with only a little modification. I like the idea of Edric or Drac for this deck. Cardinal Darus and Isadran Warrior alone make this deck stupidly good. If you can work out a way to get Cardinal Darus in play and have 9 or 10 ranks, you have a very hard to hit warlord.

or, for giggles, go with Ghed Mnetaor and have Daris and Planar going for you.

Seems a lot more feasable to just play Secrets of the Suns with a buff Warlord than to try and get this jank train running. It'd take you 3-4 turns to get the ranks. What deck doesn't stomp you by then? I had always considered this to be the way to run Erebus Stormchild. It's funny that came to mind for you, too. I always thought, "how the heck do you get Erebus to make a worthy amount of swings" and this was always my crazy solution. I think he's the choice Warlord for it, but I stick with Gahid because it's his freaking action! Erebus is a solid choice, though. He could actually live long enough if you played your cards right and protected him from melee.

Jodin Drac could be fun here too. Gahid's stand, Hand of Might seems pretty epic.

Why Bruntor's Shield? He doesn't care about ranged strikes. Weapon Breaker seems like the better option or Wyvern's Scale to protect against MLG. I'd also probably go Helm of Terror over Bruntor's, but that's a me thing apparently. I worry about crit tech.

He doesn't care about Order-based ranged strikes, but there are still a heap of React-based ones. Also, can you use Magic Resistance on Medusan Lord's Gambit? I thought that would be considered a react to it. I do like Weapon Breaker though. I guess I like Bruntor's Helm because it gives another HP and a second one with War Spikes.

One way to help stop the crit tech reacts would be to drop the 2x Xaros the Mist and put in 2x Conviction, and that would probably be more effective than the DC 13 from Helm of Terror.

Have you actually built that deck woodrow? or is it something you just cooked up in your head? Cause if you actually built it, i wanna use it in some games next time we're both in owensboro.

Lol, but if I run Supremus in a deck I automatically have to run Magic Missile and that's just getting cluttered at that point. The two cards are inseparable in my opinion. :P

I haven't built it, but c'mon, how hard can it be to get those cards together. I know I have x2 Gahid's Stand.

Thread necromancy ftw! :sith:

Got a buddy of mine that wants to do the gahidstand.dec but he refuses to play gahid cause he blows compared to the other level 5 fighter warlords. He either wants to play ghed mneator or jodin drac. Preferably ghed because she brings survivability to the table but jodin is a pretty busted warlord and he has a lot of tricks that he can do. Anyways, if you were to roll with either one of these warlords how would you guys tool them to perfection?

UPDATE

This is the deck I'm currently working on:

Starting:

3 ghed carel
2 acolyte dorra
1 ghed mnettaor

Characters:

3 war wagon
3 sir euain
3 illar rowan
3 bourdon
2 cardinal daris
2 the temple of lore
1 toren yscar
1 isadran warrior
1 squire andreas

Actions:

3 shore up
3 gahid's stand
3 call verdatha

Items:

3 war mace
2 helm of terror
2 scales of the storm
2 black sun shield
2 gloves of mercy
2 bracers of ogre power
1 wyvernsteed
1 nokhtkruger
1 kringle's sleigh

I feel like the items could use the majority of the work. I don't know if I should try to go uber with her to make her nigh unhittable or to go for a quicker more effective route with the backbiters.

Any version of this deck will lose to any of yours, though, because FreeKs are innately aggressive.

Woody, chime in with some good ideas for ghed mnettaor. I don't want to hear about jodin "blows dudes in alleyways" drac.

Instead of War Mace run the thing that gives +8ATK to planar. Instead of Basinet run Helm of Terror?
