[character]Oren[/character] won't stop the wand, but he'll make the character think twice before using it. Oren was definitely clutch in quite a few of my games at MSC, even against characters with high skill like wizards and clerics. The potential to stun is not a chance many warlords want to take.

Quoted for the mutha [Censor: Quack!] truth! In an unfortunate 1st round match up at MSC Etra vs. TBC drew Oren first turn both games and my opponent missed his Oren check three times, even with a Dragonhide equipped.

You can also tray [action]Steady Aim[/action] or [action]Tempt the Wind[/action] or even [character]Minor Dragonkind[/character]

The rank restriction on each of those hurts, though. Dragonkin has to do it in the first, Steady Aim can hit the second but requires you to be in the first, and Tempt discards it only if they want to.

OK, so if a deck is really vulnerable to Wand of Negation, what would you do? Are there any solutions/counters to the wand? I would prefer solutions aside from using YOUR wand on THEIR wand first, as that just becomes an initiative battle, and also aside from Litany on the character with the wand. Pretty specific I know, but can anyone think of anything?

To quote the Beatie Boys....

IT'S [action]SABOTAGE[/action]

(In Open) :D

Rod, if I weren't running items in the deck i wouldnt need to ask :P Im gonna wand one of your precious healing potions next time we play and see how YOU like it!

You wouldn't be the first to try. If your deck is that vulnerable to the wand of negation and you need the items there are only two ideas I can think of that haven't already been mentioned.

Add a more desireable target to the the deck, if they ar enegating your bramble then add a voldas mantle or healing potion :P . Forcing them to negate that card.

Actually that's the other approach is to add Volda's mantle to the deck, if you can. If they don't negate that you can stun the character with the wand each turn essentially negating it.

Hmm...the mantle idea is interesting, but difficult to fit in Erebus. :? Some of these might work though, thanks all!
